YA Update – 04/27/2010

Weekly prayer for our youth:

Father I lift up_______ before you today, Ps 16:11  Because _______ is in your presence there is fullness of joy. I Peter 2:2 I pray you Give ________ a desire and hunger for your Word that _________ would grow by the Word. I pray your word will be written on the tablets of _______heart and that though all situations_______ faces your word will come to __________ remembrance. I pray that _________ will stand fast on your word and truth and you will be ______ stronghold _______ rock and ________ fortress. In Jesus Name

Our youth are under attack but our God is bigger and break through WILL come to pass, this generation coming up has a major part in the God’s plans and as parents we must pull together and stand in the gap on behalf of the precious gifts (our children) God has given us, let us lift up  all youth of our own child, the youth of our loved ones, in our body at Life Church, and all the youth in our community. Pray for super natural parenting skills and guidance and for youth who are on Fire for God. God is faithful, He is true and He is just, He will hear our cries as we stand in the gap for all our youth.

Last week: Our youth group went Presbyterian Church to put on a concert to bless the body there. One testimony to share: one of the adults in the service when they heard there was going to be a banner worship routine they were not into that and even considered leaving while it was performed, however they ended up watching it and later said “it was amazing and what an incredible way to worship God.” God is good and breaking down walls…. We had an amazing time of fellowship with our brothers and sisters at Presbyterian. God is good!

Upcoming: JESUS CULTURE ENCOUNTER – This Friday several students, youth leaders and parents will be heading to Boise to the Encounter. Please see the flyer below for all the information you will need if your student is going. We still have a few seats if your student wants to attend. Please let us know. Permission slips will handed out Wed. night. Please pray a God encounter for every youth attending and that a deep heart change takes place and grows them closer to their God.

Blessings on you all, your prayers and support are so appreciated.

Last week: In Youth Ablaze we had an opening game that couples had a Western Dance off, Jason and Kelly were our winning couple showing how to get down with some Honky Tonk. During worship we had a bit of a wall of distraction please keep praying for our youth to hunger and thirst after God’s presence and to be set apart from the World. During Life Application a questionnaire was taken to get feed back of what topics, problems and questions they have they would like to have addressed. Many of them shared their hearts and what they would like to learn about. We will be addressing each person’s questions over the course of the next several weeks. We began a 4 study on Daniel 3, the story about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is a great story to discuss how to get on Fire for God, the first part vs.. 1-7 leads into being Different and taking a Stand. During games Bible Sword stand off took place….

Upcoming: please see announcements below. Youth Ablaze concert will be at First Presbyterian next Wed. night.

 Blessings.

YA Update – 3/30/10

Greetings mom and dad,

As many of you have already heard we had a wonderful weekend in Boise the past week at Fine Arts, we had 11 entries from our students from vocal, human videos, song writing, and short sermons. We all learned much and had a great time. 3 of our students, Gabrielle Yearsley, Kendall Lindley, and Chelsa Johnson interned into a small ensemble vocal and received an invitation to National Fine Arts which will be held in Detroit, MI in Aug. Whew-hoo! Thanks you to Tammy Yearsley and Allison Lindley for driving up Fri. night and staying overnight with us. Also thanks to all the parents who came up to support your youth Saturday, we had 32 people from our church supporting Fine Arts.

Last Week in Youth Ablaze we put on our 2010 Concert “This Changes Everything” if you were not able to make it, we will have future opportunities with more information to come soon. We had great support over 60+ people in attendance.

This week: With this being the week in which we celebrate the resurrection of our precious Lord and Savior, we will be going through the time of Jesus’ last week from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday (Matt. 21-28) in youth Ablaze Wed. night along with worship, Life Application and Games.

Upcoming:
