Event Info – 3/24/10
Hello Mom and Dad/Guardians
Reminder: Youth Ablaze Concert tonight at 7 pm. Students in the concert please be there by 6 pm and each family please bring 2 dozen of cookies to share in refreshments following the concert.
Cool Testimony: The Youth Ministries is running an ad in the Times News, we asked for donations of various musical instruments, microphones, etc… so we could begin collecting our own instruments for our youth ministries. The ad has been running for two weeks and so far we’ve been given and electric key board, a Fender electric guitar w/amp, 2 peddles, & cords. And we may possibly have a set a drums we are waiting for confirmation on that. God is so good and loves us so much.
Last week in youth group we started off with some fun competitions including Air Guitar, Kendall Lindley and Kelly Bolish know how to get down and rock out on an invisible guitar…whew hoo! Cody Coburn and Levi LIndley did a skit to show how we are leaders in every action we do and there is always somebody ready to follow us. The message was about being a positive role model and leader to those around us. Life Application students discussed how to share the love of with others in their everyday life. Bible Trivia is getting intense as students continue to get God’s word in their heart.
This week: Youth group tonight will be a concert put on by our teens – whew-hoo!
Up coming: Fine Arts Festival this Friday and Saturday in Nampa Idaho.
Prayer for our trip and that our students continue in their God given gifts and talents.
Blessings and as always thanks for your support.

YA Update – 3/10/10
Hello Parents/Guardians,
Rejoice for this is the day the Lord has made! God is good and on the move!
Last week in Youth Ablaze: Worship was led by Mike, Caleb and Kendall, Kendall has written some new songs we’ve been blessed with the last few weeks during worship, Worship was very tender as the Lord drew to us. During the message we discussed “Impressionable Minds”, a teens mind is very impressionable and what they fill it with right now is crucial to their future and how they will think and what they will believe. They have two choices: to allow the world to be impressed up on their minds or God’s word.
Over the weekend we had 16 attendees head up to Boise for Acquire the Fire. Every students/leader that attended had amazing encounters with the Lord. God met each person right were they were. “Imagine that” God is so good and faithful. I’m sure you’ve all already heard amazing things from you students and about the time they spent with God there.
Upcoming: Youth Ablaze Fine Arts Concert will Wed. March 25 (this concert is a two-fold, first it gives all the students an opportunity to practice and share their God given gifts with Life Church body before they head up to the Fine Arts Festival, second it is a fundraiser to help raise money to cover gas & other costs for our trip to Boise which will be March 26 & 27.
On a side note: our next practice is Sunday March 14.
Thanks for all your prayers and continued support over our Youth ministry at Life Church. Blessings all!
